On Tuesday, 30 August 2022, in the evening at 22:10, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Bijūnų street, a Volvo XC90 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
