On Saturday, 17 September 2022, in the evening at 19:36, in Anykščių district municipality, Surdaugių village, on the Kavarskas–Traupis–Levaniškiai regional road (kilometre 15), a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.73‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 24-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen was drunk (2.10‰). A 30-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen was drunk (2.32‰). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
