On Thursday, 6 October 2022, in the morning at around 8:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, Didžiosios Riešės village, on Riešės street near No. 2, a Citroen C5 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 7-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 13-year-old pedestrian, who was walking on the carriageway where prohibited. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
