On Monday, 10 October 2022, in the evening at around 17:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on Kosmonautų street near No. 14, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 9-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene.
