On Tuesday, 11 October 2022, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Skuodo district municipality, on P. Cvirkos street, at the junction with Birutės street, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 9-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
