On Wednesday, 26 October 2022, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 102), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN TGX 18.440 registered in Ukraine, a Volvo V70 and a Schwarzmuller J-Serie registered in Ukraine. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the MAN (28 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
