On Saturday, 29 October 2022, in the evening at 20:30, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Betygala–Ilgižiai–Krakės–Bokštai regional road (kilometre 21.90), an Audi A3 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.49‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
