On Wednesday, 2 November 2022, in the evening at 20:50, in Kaunas, on A. Šapokos street, at the junction with Bivylių street, a Volvo XC60 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 12-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Volvo (26 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
