On Thursday, 24 November 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, Naujakiemio village, on the Ažulomis–Šalčininkai–Milvydai regional road, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Opel (11 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.30‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
