On Saturday, 3 December 2022, in the evening at 21:06, in Trakų district municipality, Grendavės village, on Liepų street, a Volkswagen Touareg ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
