On Thursday, 22 December 2022, in the afternoon at 14:50, in Vilnius, on Lentvario street, at the junction with Žarijų street, an Opel Astra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. A 24-year-old passenger of the Opel was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
