On Saturday, 24 December 2022, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Kauno district municipality, Giraitės village, on Automagistralės street near No. 4, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S80, a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Ukraine and a Kaessbohrer registered in Ukraine. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volvo (8 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.91‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
