On Saturday, 31 December 2022, in the evening at around 21:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Kvėdarnos town, on Piliakalnio street near No. 15, a vehicle ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
