On Friday, 6 January 2023, in the morning at 10:40, in Kauno district municipality, Teleičių village, on Vasario 16-osios street near No. 7, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Nissan (32 years of driving experience), who violated vehicle-towing rules. He was drunk (1.45‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. The 21-year-old driver of the Opel had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
