On Wednesday, 22 February 2023, in the morning at 7:45, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road, a Citroen C5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
