On Saturday, 25 February 2023, at night at around 4:00, in Kaunas, on K. Škirpos street near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 650i, a Dacia and a Volkswagen Golf Plus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.64‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
