On Thursday, 2 March 2023, in the evening at 19:01, in Kelmės district municipality, on Ventos street, at the junction with Kapų street, a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
