On Saturday, 25 March 2023, in the afternoon at 15:35, in Ukmergės district municipality, Dukstynos village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 72.80), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and a DAF FAT XF105 registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (0.95‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
