On Sunday, 9 April 2023, in the evening at 18:53, in Panevėžio district municipality, Krekenavos town, on Pušyno street, at the junction with Tilto street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf registered in Estonia, a Volkswagen Passat and a BMW. Four people were injured — the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Golf (treated as an outpatient), a 20-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen Golf (treated as an outpatient), a 20-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen Golf (treated as an outpatient) and the 49-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Golf (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober.
