On Saturday, 15 April 2023, in the evening at 17:32, in Alytus, on Kalniškės street near No. 7, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW X5 and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.76‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
