On Thursday, 4 May 2023, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Jakų village, on Jubiliejaus street near No. 24, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Ducato and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Fiat (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.23‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
