On Monday, 8 May 2023, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Telšių district municipality, on J. Janonio street, at the junction with J. Biliūno street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
