On Sunday, 21 May 2023, in the morning at around 5:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on Miško street near No. 8, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.15‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
