On Sunday, 21 May 2023, in the afternoon at 13:53, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Ežerė–Mažeikiai national road (kilometre 1.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Transporter registered in Latvia, an Opel Meriva and a Chrysler Town & Country registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident.
