On Tuesday, 6 June 2023, in the evening at around 22:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Kretingalės town, on Šlikių street, an Opel ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
