On Friday, 9 June 2023, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Sugintų village, on Smėlyno street, a Honda rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Honda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.80‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
