On Thursday, 15 June 2023, in the afternoon at 13:25, in Kaunas, on Laisvės al., at the junction with Vytauto pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and a Ford. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
