On Sunday, 25 June 2023, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Utenos district municipality, Daugailių town, on Plento street near No. 11, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a moped and a MAN TGX. One person was injured — the 30-year-old driver of a moped (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a helmet). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (3.81‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
