On Sunday, 25 June 2023, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Gruzdžiai–Naujoji Akmenė national road (kilometre 30), a Mini rolled over. Two people were injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Mini (hospitalized) and a 37-year-old passenger of the Mini (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Mini (less than a year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
