On Wednesday, 5 July 2023, in the afternoon at 12:40, in Jonavos district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street near No. 11, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 62-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a cyclist, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
