On Sunday, 9 July 2023, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Alytus, on Kaštonų street near No. 21, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Pontiac Trans Sport and a BMW 120D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Pontiac (48 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
