On Wednesday, 16 August 2023, in the evening at 22:40, in Klaipėda, on Kalnupės street near No. 15, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Seat Altea XL, a car, a Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI, a Dodge Caliber, an Audi, a Jeep Compass, a Renault Clio and a Lexus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 13-year-old driver of the Seat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
