On Friday, 18 August 2023, in the evening at 18:46, in Vilnius, on Ozo street near No. 18, a Skoda Octavia hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — the 26-year-old driver of a e-scooter (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 37-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Skoda (17 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
