On Monday, 21 August 2023, in the evening at 18:55, in Kėdainių district municipality, Gelnų village, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 73), a Scania R420LA registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Scania (22 years of driving experience), who was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. The driver was sober.
