On Friday, 25 August 2023, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on Kaštonų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Colt, a Kempf SKM 34/3 and a DAF FA 95XF.430. Two people were injured — a 62-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized) and the 31-year-old driver of the DAF (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (43 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
