On Monday, 4 September 2023, in the evening at 19:30, in Kretingos district municipality, on M. Valančiaus street, at the junction with Padvaralio street, an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Audi (36 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
