Hit-and-run Volkswagen driver in crash with Volkswagen on the Alanta–Naujasodis–Švobiškėlis road
On Wednesday, 13 September 2023, in the evening at 18:40, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Alanta–Naujasodis–Švobiškėlis regional road (kilometre 1.25), a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 97-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Golf (63 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene.
