Audi driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at a crossing on Žemaitės g., Jonava
On Wednesday, 13 September 2023, in the morning at 7:50, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žemaitės street near No. 1, an Audi A4 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 35-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Audi (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
