On Saturday, 16 September 2023, at night at around 23:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Šėrių village, on Leitalės street, an Audi A6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Audi (22 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (0.50‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
