On Tuesday, 19 September 2023, in the evening at 17:50, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with Nemuno street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo XC70 and a Mercedes-Benz R 320 CDI 4MATIC. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Volvo (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
