On Sunday, 24 September 2023, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kauno district municipality, Žemaitkiemio village, on Ozo street, at the junction with Pirklių street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved an Audi A3 and a Renault Master. One person was injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.53‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
