On Sunday, 12 November 2023, at night at 4:12, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 32), a head-on collision occurred. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
