On Thursday, 30 November 2023, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Vilnius, on Vytenio street near No. 54, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406 and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Peugeot (26 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
