On Monday, 4 December 2023, in the morning at 8:14, in Vilnius, on Žvejų street near No. 14, a BMW hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the BMW (28 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
