On Friday, 8 December 2023, in the evening at 18:11, in Švenčionių district municipality, on Vilniaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Touran, a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota Yaris. Two people were injured — the 48-year-old driver of the Toyota Yaris (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 35-year-old passenger of the Toyota Yaris (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
