On Tuesday, 12 December 2023, in the evening at 17:13, in Trakų district municipality, on Birutės street near No. 42, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
