On Saturday, 16 December 2023, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Klaipėda, on Klemiškės street near No. 18, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Seat Alhambra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (0.92‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
