On Wednesday, 6 December 2023, in the evening at around 17:00, in Vilnius, on Pamėnkalnio street, at the junction with Aukų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and a bicycle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Skoda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
