On Friday, 29 December 2023, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 30.67), a car hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of a car, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.17‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
