On Tuesday, 9 January 2024, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 55.78), a Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Suzuki (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
